MORE INFORMATION ON OUR COMPANY
This is a fire and rescue company, which means we have paid and volunteer EMTs, along with volunteer firefighters. We also have first responders. First responders are only required to have current CPR card, as well as a drivers license. This website is for the EMS side of the company. There is another website for our fire side. (Click here to go to the website) Only paid employees work 6am to 10pm. Duty nights have a mixture of paid and volunteer. Our employees and volunteers work hard to save lives. We may be paid, but we maintain the volunteer attitude!
TRAINING
Our personnel (both paid and volunteer) complete several training programs each year, to ensure we bring the best possible service to the community in their time of need.
HISTORY
In 1978, Buckshutem Ambulance Corps was formed. In the beginning, there were two ambulances, a Cadilac and a Ford van. In 1984 the Ambulance Corps moved to Spring Garden Road in Laurel Lake. In 1998 Fire and EMS decided to go off of one name, Laurel Lake Fire & Rescue. In 2009 the EMS divison moved to Battle Lane. Fire and EMS were now running out of the same building. With a generous donation, the EMS divison was able to go paid on June 29th, 2014.
